Drift Battles: The revolutionary NFT-powered car racing arcade gaming platform on Algorand; Progress Report
On the 12th of March, the idea behind the conception of the Drift Battles game came into our minds. After exhaustive research on the challenges that gaming (metaverse) projects pose on the blockchain ecosystem, we finally brought forward a proposition to develop a gaming platform that would offer the community a long-term, sustainable, profitable and stable investment of their assets. We noticed that across all blockchains, the way in which gaming assets were handled was quite different, so we brought about Drift Battles.
Over time, we came up with our whitepaper, roadmap and project documentations, which took a lot of contemplations and pondering, yet viable fruition. The beginning of Q2, 2022 has been a huge start, as our community has experienced exponential growth and has scaled through as a result of the team developing marketing effective strategies and undergoing marketing deals.
At the time of publishing this article, we have 3014 members on the Telegram group already, having a good number of them online. Our followers on Twitter increased to over 40 in number. We’re glad to share our successful strides.
Insights for Q2, 2022: Roadmap.
Following our Roadmap for this quarter of 2022, we have quite a number of things to achieve. Being new members of the Algorand blockchain, It has been a huge success achieving the creation of $DRIFT and a great experience exploring the amazing benefits and features that the Green blockchain has to offer. We hope to do more. Below are highlights for our progress on this quarter:
- Community Development and Growth: We have been able to push this to the next level, boasting of an incredibly fast-growing Telegram community. We employed the following strategies in engaging the community: An auto-responder Telegram bot was developed with an intelligent Algorithm to engage the community by responding to basic questions and posting updates of our project from time to time. We also added spam control Bots on Telegram to reduce the number of unrelated topics and matters shared in the group. We have an announcement channel that enables the community to be informed on updates and progress of the project.
- Website Development: Our website was developed and deployed officially on the 28th of March, 2022. The development of the website was achieved via HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap and JavaScript (Ecmascript 6).
- Marketing and Awareness: As this is also related to the engagement, we have done some smart deals with marketers and promoters to shill the project and compose Tweets, Retweet our contents etc. and we will continue to do so. We have an AMA chat session with Crypto Bonus on the 14th of April by 11am UTC.
- Airdrop: We had developed a Telegram Bot that will aid in the whitelisting and distribution of Airdrop tokens. 12,000,000 $DRIFT was allocated for this purpose. Airdrop tokens would be available for Withdrawals on the 1st of June, 2022 by 12am UTC. Users who intend to participate on the Airdrop which is coming up on the 15th of April by 12am UTC can do so by visiting the Drift Battles Airbot via the link: https://t.me/driftbattle_airbot.
- ICO (First Public Sale): Our first ICO, which is our first fund-raising round will officially commence on the 18th of April, 2022 by 12am UTC and end on the 30th of May, 2022 by 12am UTC. We are offering 250,000,000 $DRIFT for sale for the first ICO round at a rate of 500 $DRIFT per $ALGO.
- Launching on Tinyman: With the funds we will raise from the ICO, we are providing liquidity on Tinyman for our ASA, $DRIFT to ensure its availability for trading by investors. We intend to perform this action on the 30th of May, 2022 upon our ICO conclusion.
In summary, we intend to issue a vesting period for the Airdrop tokens, so that those who hold the ICO tokens will have earlier access to trade the tokens on Tinyman before Airdrop holders.
